I am confused on lesson 7 “following Sea” 1. “Trim your engine out. Travelling down swell, trimming out raises the bows to help the hull recover as it encounters the back of one swell after descending the previous one.

Without trim, the bows are more likely to bury and may veer uncontrollably to one side. This is known as broaching and it’s extremely dangerous”

Seems to be contradictory or have I got this wrong?
